TechKnowKids provides academic tutoring and support tailored to each child's needs.  Our individualized learning programs strive to help your child meet their potential.  Each child's individual learning style is recognized and embraced.  We often use technology as a learning tool, in combination with lots of positive reinforcement, to help each child build confidence their abilities.

Our Kindergarten Readiness/Enrichment Program is designed to prepare pre-school age children for kindergarten.  We will use phonics and phonemic awareness software programs to explore beginning reading skills such as learning letters and sounds.  Other fun activities will have your child exploring the world of colors.

Many of the teaching materials that we use are based on the ones used by our school systems.  Our teachers are patient and kind.  They truly want to get your child off to a great start in kindergarten.

The Homework Club is designed to provide your child with a setting where a qualified, certified teacher is available to help them with their homework.  Children meet in a small group, so that plenty of individual attention can be given to each child.  This is a very helpful service for busy moms and dads, as well as for the kids.

This is a great class based on the award-winning book, The Ultimate Book of Kid Concoctions by John E. Thomas and Danita Page.  Some of the activities your child will enjoy are "Puddin' Paint" and "Instant Watercolors" along with a variety of additional surprise activities!  This class focuses on projects that incorporate science, language arts, and mathematics in a fun, meaningful way. Your child will need to bring a smock or paint shirt to each class.

Our Scrappin' Kidz class will inspire the younger set in your house to explore their creative side.  We'll use mixed media to create a new scrapbook page during each of the five sessions, so that your child will have their very own scrapbook full of memories to share at the end of the course. This is a beginning level course.

Our computer class is designed to help your child further their knowledge of computers and educational software in a group setting.  Taught by an instructor with 20 years of experience, this course facilitates learning in a fun and comfortable environment. Part of the learning process will be about sharing the computer. Your child will also be taught the basics about computer care, as well as learning about the various parts of the computer.  One to three students will be sharing a computer during this course. 

Yoga for Kids gives children ages 4-6 an opportunity to try their hand at relaxation techniques that will stick with them for a lifetime.  Your child will have fun learning poses like the downward facing dog and prayer pose, as well as basic meditation techniques and simple stretching exercises.  This is a thirty minute class, designed for the child who is ready to sit quietly for 10 minute intervals.  Each child should bring a yoga mat and/or towel to this class, so that they can do the exercises comfortably.
